SEM. is the moniker of Popi Semerlioglou, an Athens-based singer/songwriter and pianist. Her first EP, named “Natural”, was released in April 2016, produced by Alex Bolpasis (The Cave Children, Noise Figures etc).
It is an instrumental creation, comprised of five original contemporary classic pieces played on the piano. The EP was presented live in its entirety in March 2017. Since then, SEM. made a bold turn of her sound towards indie and pop territories, while using her distinctive voice for the first time. This new chapter derives from her love of artists such as Tom Odell, Soley, Sufjan Stevens and Olafur Arnalds. The new songs, which will be included in her impending full-length album scheduled to be released sometime in 2018/2019, were introduced in public for the first time ever during her gig at Six D.O.G.S. in September 2017.
