Lox.
Nikos Alexopoulos a.k.a Lox was born in 1995 and grew up in Xylokastro, Greece. Started making beats in 2009-2010 with internet being his only guidance, no equipment and no actual friends sharing the same interest in this music. With influences such as worldwide producers like 9th wonder, Sene, and many more, to underground producers such as Disko Dave, Felly, Flofilz, Cashby D and many more. Even though it was something that he really enjoyed doing it was kinda difficult making music with absolutely no knowledge in music. In between ’10 and ’13 he was still making music but not so frequently due to school responsibilities and mama’s need to relax after a hard day at work. In June 2013 he graduated High School and had more time and will to pursue his dream. After moving in to Athens in September, he started making beats every day with better equipment, in a better place, and with no one bothering him. After some experiments that lasted a couple of months, he released his first EP in January 11, 2014 “beats coffee ‘n cookies”, a title that described his every day life at that time. “beats coffee ‘n cookies”, was a 6track EP made only with jazz and soul samples. After releasing it, he realized his passion for jazz and soul samples and kept pushing in that direction. His audience started growing and his dream was becoming true. The same year he collaborated with various artists like Maurice Van Meer and Dmize. Towards the end of 2014 he planning on releasing another beatape available for free on his bandcamp.
