Le Page is an indie pop artist from Athens/Greece. He writes songs that aim to make people smile but also provide shelter in some deeper thoughts. He is known for his catchy, sometimes tongue in cheek, tunes and for his love for D.I.Y. ethics. His lyrics absorb inspiration from various topics such as: classic comedy, everyday life, depression, heartache, cartoons and his love for Zurich.
He has been influenced by artists like: The Smiths, Belle and Sebastian, The Modern Lovers, The Kinks, The Field Mice, Jens Lekman, The Zombies, The Flaming Lips and many more.
He has shared the stage with many well known artists such as: Brett Anderson (Suede), Primal Scream, Bloc Party, The House of Love, Camera Obscura, Au Revoir Simone, White Town, Nouvelle Vague, White Lies and Molly Nilson.
He has collaborated with singer/songwriter Barry Louis Polisar (known from the soundtrack of the movie Juno) in the song “Talking to Plants”. This lead to Le Page’s participation in Polisar’s tribute album “We’re not Kidding, a Tribute to Barry Louis Polisar” which was released in USA by Snail Records.
Le Page has just released his new EP “Pause the World”. A small collection of songs about falling in love (You and Me) or trying to achieve your dreams (Reach the Stars) in the times of the Greek economic crisis, the importance of failing (Luna Land), the vanity of life (Pac-Man) and a song about falling in love with a zombie (Hearts or Bones). Of course, “Pause the World”, also includes a cover of the 90’s megahit “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” by Eiffel 65. A eurodance song that Le page loved in highschool.
Le Page is currently playing shows in Greece and plans to release more songs in the next few months. A European tour is also part of his plans.
